LXLE LS (first beta available)
  • Well, I have already deleted the folder links .... and added user folders to left pane. you can reproduce that on a fresh installation. Though it's not a big issue.... just informed you.

My external Ip add is xxx.xxx.xxx.xx (static) and internal ip is 172.16.x.x.(static).
I am geting access the ospos from any internal ip within that external ip network..... great.

Next, trying to access ospos from internet and requested my ISP for 'forwarding a port' to my internal ip from external Ip address.

    Hope that will be successful.

    Thanks.

  • My ISP has informed that they are not blocking PORT 80, so port forwarding not required. (online port scan tools are also reported that port 80 is open)

     http://externalip/internalip/ospos/   showing error.... any idea?

NOTE: I am not using any router. Double checked the internal & external IPs.

    Also tried http://externalip.internalip/ospos/ ..... without  luck .

UPDATE: http://internalip/externalip...... showing ERROR 404 on LXLE-LS and Apache page not found 404 on win7 (WAMP+OSPOS) with installed versions of Appache and PHP ....that means there is some config problem on both the servers.

    Can somebody please HELP ?

.htaccess file is setup to block outside traffic by default.
  • The .htaccess file edited as "allow from all" .... not working.

Pulling my hair .... someone please help. Something to do with lightppd.config , i think.

Btw, LAMP control panel should be renamed as LLMP control panel (A-stands for Apache, L-stands for Lighttpd)

LAMP has become a general description regardless of what server is running it.

Also remove the entire section in the .htaccess file #Local Only Access

Most likely if you can't reach the server it's a firewall/router issue.

  • 1. I am not using a ROUTER.
    2. My ISP uses a static Ip 124.124.xxx.xx   (which is my external ip)
    3. My internal ip is 172.16.0.5 (gateway =172.16.0.1).
    4. I can access the LAN Page either with 172.16.0.5 or localhost
    5. In fact, any user with ip 172.16.0.xxx within this network can access, if I allow them.
    6. Even tried no-ip.com ddns service without success.
    7. http://124.124.xxx.xx  brings me to my ISP's Log-in page.
    8. http://172.16.0.5/124.124.xxx.xx  shows "Not Found- 404"  by lighttpd if from the server itself.
    9. If i try http://172.16.0.5/124.124.xxx.xx from any other computer via internet , it shows " Log in error,           no_       GW "  .........  (is GW = Gateway ???)
    10. "Can you see me " site on internet says... " I can see your service on ip 124.124.xxx.xx port: 80.              Port is         not blocked by your ISP/ ROUTER."

Can anybody test and confirm that it's working out of the box ? (i mean, after putting your ip , port etc).

Well you don't visit a website normally by entering their internal ip address in first.

    In other words I don't enter,  http://172.16.x.x/ebay.com

    I just enter ebay.com

So if your public ip address is 124.124.xxx.xx

then your url will be just that

    http://124.124.xxx.xx
  • http://124.124.xxx.xx/172.16.0.1 is not working either.... brings me to the ISP's Log-in page.

I am giving up..... can't find a way to connect from internet.

Please note that, Syncthing on LXLE-LS fresh installation is not working.

If syncthing and the server are not working for you then it's likely there is a firewall/gateway/router issues blocking you.
