I've been going through the same thing, literally every day, for weeks, and I am no closer than I was on day one.  Well, not quite.  I can get the computer to see my scanner in Simple Scan only (not Xsane or Epson Image Scan), using a USB cable.  That is a miniscule victory, but I need for it to work wirelessly, and I absolutely need for the scanner to work using it's sheet feeder.  Has anybody learned the secret words since the original 2014 post, above?  BTW, My Epson products are both All-in-One Printer/Fax/Scanners, models WF-2750 and WF-630.  The printers both work fine, but the scanners are both AWOL.

I'm not seeing a way to mark this "SOLVED".
