Screen resolution only option is 640x440

Hello,
I tried LXLE live version 16.04.3 32bit on a packart bell easynote, and it works good with resolution 1024x768 (optimal is of course 1280x768). After installing the screen resolution is 640x480. Can not change anything, the hints mentioned above didnot work.
Chipset sis672.
Ideas?

I've just installed LXLE 16.04.3 32-bit on my computer, and am having the same issues with the resolution (only possible choice 640 x 480). I tried to install the 64-bit version of LXLE, but the installer kept crashing.
I have a WinFast / Foxconn K8S755M Motherboard (http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDetail.aspx?T=Motherboard&U=en-us0000068) - it is fairly old - probably dating from about 2003. I don't have any additional graphics cards installed.
There are no drivers displayed in Driver Manager. I have updated using uCareSystem Core.
Please help! It looks like I am really going to enjoy using LXLE.

Installed Linux Mint 18.1 Xfce 64-bit. No hassles anywhere. SiS graphics working perfectly without any tweaks. What a pleasure.
