    Fails also from Direct Mirror.  Message:

    /tmp/mozilla_mozillaUser0/AeNgRhJR.bin.part could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.

    Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location.

    Same message appears when I go to the files, and select the exact link I want.  I'm in a freshly installed 14.04.3 which has been updated today.

    HP-Pavilion-dv6500-Notebook-PC  -  with 14.04.3, then updated, today, would not work.
    My other box is downloading happily.

    Live usb with newest LXLE 14.04.4 works well, but after trying three times, the installation of the system breaks down all the time. Increasingly during "dpkg is running."

    Don't 'check' anything during install.
