Here is my situation. I have a hard drive with several partitions so I can install distros in each partition for testing. I have Manjaro installed in one partition. Everytime I install an Ubuntu based distro like LXLE it automatically installs grub and screw up Manjaro. In other words after install an ubuntu based distro if I restart my machine and try to boot into Manjaro it doesn't work. So, what I end up doing is booting from the Manjaro boot CD and following the instructions on the Manjaro wiki for how to reinstall grub so Manjaro will work.

Is there any way of install ubuntu without installing grub or are there better simple options to my dilemma?

    Thanks!!!
