Conky text overflowing
  • Earlier this evening I got LXLE 32-bit revisited installed on my recently fixed Dell Latitude D620. I am seeing a glitch or configuration error with Conky that I have not seen before - the text is over flowing from the bubble/window/whatchamajigger. I believe this happened after I installed the proprietary Nvidia drivers for the Quadro chip in the laptop. I do see a battery monitor on it that I don't recall from previous editions. I know enough to realize the background is just a .png image, but as for what to do to alter the displayed info or enlarge the .png image I am not sure what to do. Please advise, thanks! (see screen shot for details)

  • Edit the .conkyrc file...

...by changing the H component in $image ...-s 153x275 (was 153x255) in file ~.conkyrc file.

it could also be either nvidia drivers renders that particular font differently or the system wide font was changed.

  • Thanks for the replies! Anonymouse52, your info put me on the right track, I ended up having to use 153 x 330 instead of 255 or 275. As for the system font, it is still set to Liberation Sans, so it must be a rendering difference. Either way, its a lot better. Thanks!

On a side note, while I was there I changed it to monitor wlan0 instead of eth0.
