LXLE 14.04 64 bit GRUB updater?
  • JUST
ASKING: I suppose my question about the installer not updating the grub.cfg on
/dev/sda to include LXLE together with Linux Mint 17 on /dev/sdb and
Windows Vista on /dev/sda, is too technical and must go to the forum,
right? Well here it is @LXLE Lubuntu (just rather ironic I have to use LM17 to get here).

USB Installation of LXLE 14.04 64bit as downloaded via torrent via Deluge, written to USB stick etc. Installation starts perfectly, gets to Install Along Side ... answer YES, update while installing, Yes, install 3rd Party MPEG drivers, YES. Nothing about installing S/PDIF digital input or optical input from external USB VCR connected to Realtek HDA Digital Input port on motherboard.

/dev/sdb6 supposed to be LXLE 14.04 64 bit installation, but the installer

The installer is the standard Ubuntu installer. Its not altered by LXLE at all, if something is not working correctly with the installer, then thats a support question for Ubuntu general support. Outside of removing the slideshow the installer is the standard run of the mill install found on any Ubuntu based distro.
  • Sorted, thank you. I'll start another thread about S/PDIF to Realtek HDA digital input elsewhere.
