How to keep from running at startup

    I have installed LXLE 14.04 64 Bit and now every time I
    start it Bittorrent Sync and Clipboard Manager start.  How can I stop
    these from loading?  I have looked in my .config/autostart and they are
    not there.

    This is Lubuntu's bug I tried to warn them about that they swore didn't exist. This started after an update didn't it?

    Until there is a real fix do the following

    open the run box and enter

    pcmanfm /etc/xdg/autostart

    check run as root and click ok

    open every app you don't want to run at startup using a gedit

    add the following to the bottom of the text file

    NotShowIn=LXDE;

    save, exit and restart.

    Fix is in!  I'll be pushing the updates through the lxle ppa, check for updates using synaptic or update manager in about an hour.

    I just ran the update but it still loads them at startup and now it also loads two network icons in the bottom right corner.
  • Try removing the nm-applet.desktop file from your .config/autostart directory...

    I don't have a nm-applet.desktop file in my .config/autostart directory.
