No desktop-switching drop-down on login menu

    Just installed LXLE, and I like it.  However, the default desktop appears to be Gnome 2.  When I reboot to login, the login dialogue box does NOT have any drop-down menu for switching desktop paradigms.  There's a box for the password, and that's it.

    Am I missing something?  Or has the desktop switching feature been discontinued?  Is there some way to enable the desktop switching feature if it's still there?

    top right hand corner of the login screen, one menu is shutdown and other menu is paradigms.
