Update manager not working?

    Hi,

    I want to use the update manager to inform me automatically and daily about new
    - security updates
    - other updates (field isn't changeable?)

    This is not working for me!

    What do i have to do, to get the update manager working correctly on LXLE?

    security updates are installed automatically.

    to have a daemon running in the background at all times using about 20+ megs of ram to notify you of any other updates that may be available, opposed to checking yourself from time to time, you'll have to install update-notifier using synaptic.
