Some apps like minitube, vokoscreen and such are using qt for theming which is why they dont' look to good in LXDE (currently a gtk environment) this was fixed in 12.04 but they way it was done then no longer works in 14.04, to solve it is easy. This will be updated/addressed before release.

sudo apt-get install qt4-qtconfig

then run (from menu run box)

qtconfig

select gtk+ from drop down menu
