    Many older computers only have a cd drive and not a dvd drive. How is one supposed to install LXLE when it doesn't fit on a cd? Or am I missing the fact that there is a version that has been stripped down to fit on a cd?

    I also could not boot from dvd or usb. The plop boot manager in the link above worked perfectly. Bear in mind though that with plop it might list your usb with the iso on as a sepaarate hard drive rather than a usb port... just select that if it does and all is well.  Good luck.
