Maximize to one side or the other

    Hello,

I am brand new here and new to LXDE.  I have been using the Gnome 3 desktop for a while now and have gotten used to the option of moving an open window to the left or the right and it automatically resizing to maximize on that half of the screen.  Is there a way to do that in LXDE?  I hope that this question hasn't been asked already and I just missed it.

    Thank you.

LXLE uses the Openbox window manager.

Here are a couple of links to get you started.  the first link is a nicely presented package with instructions on how to manually edit a configuration file.

The second link is a forum thread that discusses the issue ~ pay particular attention to vasa1's answers ~ he is the guy with the goods in the thread.

If you have never tweaked config files, read more about it and save the originals as backups in case things don't turn out quite like you plan.  image
