Leafpad, PCmanFM, et al. tend to forget things like window size or preferences (such as what my terminal emulator is) until I log in again. Looking at the home/user/.config directory, sometimes the file (associated with the program) will show a size of zero and/or a recent modification date, only to revert back to its original contents later.
