How can LXLE access a Windows network?

I have LXLE installed along with Windows XP Pro. Everything seem to work except for networking. XP Pro automatically appears on my home network. I am hoping that LXLE can do that too. I understand that SAMBA is one way to access a Windows Network but I don't know anything about it. I haven't seen any tutorial for SAMBA that doesn't assume extensive LINUX knowledge, which I do not have. I have turned off the firewall and started SAMBA but I don't know what to do next. Is there a tutorial about SAMBA for Windows users, or some automatic setup procedure that could be created? Thanks for any suggestions about how to enable LXLE to access a Windows network.
