Two quick & easy questions about install
  • Hello Friends....

I have a very old HP TouchSmart 520.  It is one of the "all in one" computers where the computer is on the back of the monitor.  It has an iCore i5 processor in it running at 2.5Ghz.  It has 6 GBs of RAM in it and I am upgrading it to the max it can take which is 8 GBs.  I have removed the old mechanical hard drive and installed a Samsung SS drive.  I have Windows 10 installed on it.

    My two questions are:

    1) Can I dual boot between Windows 10 & LXLE?

    2) Can I boot to a flash drive or to a CD and see what LXLE looks like before I move it to the hard drive?

If I have missed an install guide here, can someone direct me to it so I do not bother folks?

You can dual boot but it'll get tricky with windows if uefi is enabled in the bios.

Yes you can do a live usb flash drive to test it out if you want.
  • So best to disable uefi in the BIOS before I start the install?  If I disable uefi, I can still boot to Windows 10, correct?

    Thank you for the help.

If you disable uefi you probably won't be able to boot win10 if it was enabled when win was installed.
