Not Sure How To Use Night Light

    When I open night Light from the start Menu, it comes up on screen, but when I press the "on" button" nothing happens. Strangely, while the app is up on screen, it does cause some dimming, but when I close it the screen brightens up.'

    Is there something I need to do, like put it in Auto start?

    There's a fix already posted in the forum. Seems the deborphan utility I use to clean up the system removed it without my knowing since you can't test night light in a virtual machine...

    the fix is easy...

    open a terminal and enter

    sudo apt-get install sct

    then the night light switch will work.

    Thanks, I did it and now when I press "on" the screen dims. but it reverts back after a few seconds. For now I'm assuming that's because it is daytime where I live. I'll check it out tonight, and get back to you if there's a problem.

    The 'off' button turns it off so you have to click the close button on the window.
