Why is there no /opt directory in focal release?

    Hi,
    I wanted to install Telegram Desktop(Latest Version) and downloaded .xz file. Usually I unpack it under /opt/telegram, but whoops.., there is no such directory.
    Why is it so and where to I can install telegram to make it work as before.

    Usually applications themselves will create the directory if needed. But you can create the directory manually if you wish as well.
