18043 32 and 18043 64 neither let me past legacybeta password screen - LXLE OS Help and Support Threads on LXLE forums

Hello,

Trying to do a fresh install today. Can't get to an installer.

Stuck at password screen. Tried suggestions by other Forum members: using qwerty; trying ESC then Enter; admin, lxle, legacybeta, etc.

Are we locked out now? How many tries do we get before we need to restart machine.

I've been at it for hours now. :p

The situation changed.

I removed the installation dvd.

Then I booted the computer, which was supposed to be LXLE 14.04.something.

Instead of booting the 14.04 version,

it booted into the live CD mode, which apparently installed itself without permission.

(I never came to an install screen, because I was locked out at password.)

This is bizarre.

hmmm.... any ideas?
