you can use synaptic package manager to add and remove software which will add or remove menu items...

my current solution is that if I want to remove some "apps" which I might have manually build from the web(not by synaptic), is thru file manager go by this address -> /home/user/.local/share/applicationsI can also put some app shortcuts in there too...but this is the hard way to do i guess, I was looking for a short way to do.
