Live boot screen locked

    im using a live boot to format a hard drive and now I'm locked out in the middle of the proccess. Then I press Ctrl alt f1? Or f2? And now it's asking me for qwerty login and password. Is there a login and password for a live boot? Is there a default password so that I can unlock this and get back in? I was trying to resize me hard drive after formatting. Just in case I can't get back in, is it still resizing although pc is locked. Would It just finish in a few hours and be okay? Thanks

    I am having the same problem.  I live booted and the machine is asking for a username and password.  I tried all the passwords I know and nothing happens.  Is there a default password for a live boot?
