I used the update tool to take LXLE from 14.04 to 16.04. My machine is a desktop core2 duo with an older AsRock mobo and 2 GB of RAM. When the boot sequence stops, i'm left with a wicd window that will not go away without forcing it to close. This machine has no wireless capability, so how can I shut off wicd's search for a wireless connection and/or otherwise automatically  close the window? Thanks in advance.
