System Sometimes Freezes Coming Out Of Screen Lock

    I am running LXLE 16.04.02 and sometimes after I try entering my password when the screen locks the system freezes up and the only thing I can do is power it off and back on.  Any suggestions?

    When in lock screen type your password and then you have to press enter.

    Yes, when I do that sometimes the system just locks up for no reason and most times it lets me in.

    Sometimes issues are isolated.

    Have you tried Ctrl+Alt+F8 and then Ctrl+Alt+F7 when a freeze occurs? Sometimes those freezes have to do with the video card and just by doing this all is back to normal in a second.
