X11 and lxpanel questions

In my efforts to find a way to restart lxpanel without shutting down, I discovered that I have X11 files inside X11 files, 40 deep in the /usr/bin folder and am wondering what that's about? Actually it's 39 files because the deepest file doesn't have the same content as the other 39.
Also, how do I restart lxpanel? -
Got the lxpanel icons back by opening settings and changing and unchanging them.
