    Greetings,
I am attempting to install Linux from a memory stick onto a HP Pavilion notebook which is about 4 years old. The markings on the stick read: LXLE USB3 DT SE9G2 64GB.  Regardless of what configuration I set in the BIOS, it boots to a text screen which give me the option of either a linux trial before install, a direct install, or an OEM Install. All selection end up at the  text DOS prompt, (initramfs) with a flashing cursor.  There is text above the prompt which reads "BusyBox v1.21.1 (ubuntu1:1.21.0-1ubuntu1) built-in shell (ash).
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
Can I install from here and, if so how? If not, any suggestion as to how I activate a graphics screen?  I purchased the stick from osdisc.com about 6 months ago, or thereabouts.
    Best regards,
    nomojo

I have a 4 year old HP pavilion laptop. I just chose Install after booting up. Hit enter and follow the prompts. It installed with no problems. I had the 16.04 Beta. I had problems with 16.04.1, But the beta works fine for me.
