One of the great advantages of using LXLE is its connection to Ubuntu and Lubuntu, and thus the availability of vast comprehensive documentation at the Lubuntu and Ubuntu Wiki sites.  This is where one can learn about setting up the profiles for UNISON sync app.

I hop around with my USB stick randomly writing things that get mixed up across the different boxes and platforms I might be playing around with.  My dyslexia is especially challenged when I start to live in a box for a while, then change the OS for testing.  UNISON helps me keep my USB projects synced to the Box of the day.  https//help.ubuntu.com/community/Unison

Installation NOTE:  For this app, so that its ICON will appear properly in the startup menu for LXLE and not hide -- Open the Software Center In the System Tools from Startup menu.  Select LXLE apps.  Search for UNISON, and add to basket.  Install from there.

I'm still learning about SYNCTHING, which comes installed in LXLE, and thus cannot speak to it, yet.  But looking forward to using it on my home network - to keep all the boxes synced within my own LAN, behind my own routers, and not relying on a third party.
