  • Hi all,

I'm Torsten from Germany. Being an on/off Linux user since the early ninetys, I decided to finally switch to Linux, as Windows 10 is an annoying experience for me. Beside my main notebook (Lenovo Thinkpad/LXLE/Linux Mint) I dug up two old netbooks, which weren't powerful enough to run anything else than WinXP in an acceptable manner, namely a Dell Vostro A90 (Mini 9) and a Dell Mini 10 (with the soldered 1 GB RAM, arrrrgh). I repeatedly tried to install different distros, but the all-time problem with both netbooks was the WLAN activation and of course speed in a whole.

LXLE solved that problem out of the box and gave my good old pals a new life. Both are great hardware in principle, especially the Dell Vostro A90, which I pimped with a 64 GB pate SSD from SuperTalent and 2 GB RAM. My kids are happy, so am I ;)

Thanks to the LXLE-Team, keep up Your fantastic work.
    Torsten
