NEW TAB configuration in SeaMonkey

    The above link starts up in every new tab I create.  It only used to show up when a new browser was invoked, and I liked that much better.  I need help to make the NEW tab open to a BLANK page.

    I'm running 12.04.5, and on this old PC, it takes forever to load the start.lxle page.

    SOLVED:  answer below.

    Go to Edit/Preferences/Browser/
    There is a box at the bottom of the selections "Clicking the HOME button takes you to this group of pages."

    Delete the start.lxle file.
    Leave blank, or add whatever else one wants.

    I am trying now to figure out how to have the NEW TAB button go to blank.  The NEW TAB setting always takes me to HOME page.  This means that every new tab opens to HOME PAGE instead of a blank.  SeaMonkey in 12.04.5.  Where are the settings for this?

    Go to Edit/Preferences/Browser/Display on ...choose New Tab from list (3)...set Blank page
